I-BELIEVE Drives - Your Ethnicity. Your Gift of Life.

With your help, a chance to save a life is coming soon to a campus near you. After holding nearly 400 drives across the nation, friends and family of Vinay Chakravarthy (pictured above with his wife Rashmi) are coordinating back-to-school marrow donor registration drives at campuses across the country. Vinay recently received the transplant he desperately needed thanks to a committed donor on the National Marrow Donor Program Registry.
Who needs your helpWhen you and your friends register as volunteer bone marrow donors, you give hope to the 6,000 men, women, and children who search the Registry each day for a life-saving donor. Your commitment to donating to any patient in need is what saves lives. Especially as a member of the South Asian community.
Because tissue type is inherited, patients from the same ethnic background are more able to find an appropriate match within that same community. Today, there simply aren’t enough registered donors from the South Asian community to help these patients.
This is where you come in.
Get involvedHelp set up a drive at your school. And spread the word. I-BELIEVE drives will be held through September 2007.
