Make a Difference

Help Patients Get Treatment with AirCares

Since 1997, nearly 50 patients and their caregivers have been flown to medical facilities far from home due to generous donations of frequent flyer miles to the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP) through Northwest Airlines' AirCares program.

Northwest Airlines has announced a special new opportunity to make donations through the AirCares program.

From now until the end of April 2002, Northwest WorldPerks members may choose to enter the "Make a Difference" program and have additional miles donated to the charity of their choice. These miles are in addition to any you may want to donate through the AirCares program.

How the Program Works

To take advantage of this program, all you need to do is register prior to travel -- no later than April 30, 2002.

Then travel on any Northwest flight until April 30, 2002, and receive 500 Bonus Miles per qualifying flight segment in addition to the base miles earned. Of these Bonus Miles, 450 will be automatically credited to the AirCares partner of your choice, and 50 will be credited to your WorldPerks account.

How to Register

  • Register by filling out an online form at http://www.nwa.com/offers/aircares/
  • You must be a WorldPerks member. You can become a WorldPerks member online at http://www.nwa.com/offers/aircares/.
  • You must choose the Registration Extension for the AirCares charity you would like to have these Bonus Miles donated to (you can only choose one charity for this special promotion).
The Registration Extension for the National Marrow Donor Program is 4112.

Once you have entered your WorldPerks membership number and the Registration Extension on the form, simply click, "Register me for the promotion" and the Bonus Miles will automatically be deposited in the National Marrow Donor Program AirCares account when you travel.
