Donate Frequent Flyer Miles for Patients

Your travels on Northwest Airlines (NWA) could make a difference in the life of a transplant patient. Through the Northwest Airlines AirCares® program, you can donate NWA WorldPerks miles to the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) to help patients receiving a transplant from an unrelated bone marrow or cord blood transplant. The NMDP uses these frequent flyer miles to fly patients and their caregivers to their transplant center free of charge.
Your donation of frequent flyer miles will help patients who are in financial need. Since 1997, people like you have provided tremendous relief to over 60 patients and families with the AirCares program.
You Can Help
The minimum donation is 5,000 miles, with additional miles donated in 1,000 mile increments. You can help patients by:
- Donating a portion of your existing WorldPerks miles.
- Committing to donate future WorldPerks miles each time you travel.
- Encouraging your employer to donate a portion of your company's WorldPerks miles or to designate a specific month for donating your company's WorldPerks miles to the NMDP.
- Telling your family and friends about the Northwest Airline AirCares program.
