Transplants for Leukemia and Lymphoma
Patient Conference on Bone Marrow, Stem Cell and Cord Blood Transplants
The Leukemia Research Foundation, in cooperation with Loyola University Health System, National Marrow Donor Program and The Coleman Foundation, invites patients and caregivers seeking information on bone marrow, stem cell and umbilical cord transplants for treatment of leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers to the 4th Annual Bone Marrow, Stem Cell, Cord Blood Transplant Conference. The Conference is scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the Westin O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois, from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancer patients who may need a bone marrow, stem cell or cord blood transplant in the future will learn about recent developments in these procedures, what to expect during and after treatment, and hear "real life" accounts from patients and their caregivers. Expert speakers representing some of the most prominent transplant centers in the United States such as Loyola University Medical Center, Northwestern University Medical Center, Rush University Medical Center, University of Chicago Medical Center and UIC Medical Center will present and lead discussions. In addition, Dr. Jeffrey Chell, CEO of the National Marrow Donor Program will speak.
